Cynthia York joined Pear Sperling Eggan & Daniels, of counsel, in 2003, specializing in civil litigation. Ms. York received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan in 1983. She earned her law degree from the University of Detroit School of Law in 1986, cum laude. After law school, Ms. York clerked for United States Judge Avern Cohn, from 1986 to 1988. Before joining Pear Sperling Eggan & Daniels, Ms. York, was a partner at Dickinson, Wright from 1993 to 1997, and an associate at that firm from 1988 to 1992. Ms. York is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals Sixth Circuit, the U.S. District Courts of Michigan, Eastern and Western Districts, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Ms. York was elected to the State Bar of Michigan Representative Assembly for the 1990-1993 and 1994-1996 terms. Ms. York's practice is devoted to civil litigation before various state and federal courts and agencies.
