Rebecca L. Takacs joined the firm in 2008.

Ms. Takacs has significant litigation experience on behalf of both individuals and businesses in the areas of contracts, business torts, shareholder rights, employment matters, non-compete clause litigation and creditor’s rights issues. Ms. Takacs has extensive experience in litigation and dispute resolution, including discovery and resultant disputes, motion, case evaluation, facilitation, mediation, arbitration, settlement and trial of all types of litigation. Ms. Takacs practices in federal courts, including bankruptcy courts, as well as all levels of state courts and administrative proceedings before various tribunals.

As part of the defense team representing corporate defendants in class actions and mass tort litigation, Ms. Takacs assumed primary responsibility for design, preparation and execution of strategic evidentiary and dispositive motions; expert witness location, preparation and testimony; as well as coordination of joint defense efforts.

Ms. Takacs has extensive experience in all aspects of environmental law, including compliance, remediation and transactions, encompassing governmental and public relations, oversight of daily remedial and compliance issues involving RCRA orders, CERCLA orders, remedial actions involving various state entities in the Midwest, NPDES and TITLE V permits and wildlife and wetlands permits, tax abatement issues for obsolete and remedial properties, as well as various real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, easement agreements, access agreements and deed restrictions.
